NATO meldet Piratenangriff auf Dhau
Seit dieser Woche sind die Piraten aus Somalia wieder aktiv. Die NATO meldete allein vorgestern zwei Attacken.
Eine davon betraf eine Dhau vor dem Oman und sie scheint erfolgreich verlaufen zu sein. Noch ist aber nicht klar, ob die acht schwer bewaffneten Piraten, das Schiff wieder verlassen haben oder ob sie die Dhau als Mutterschiff für die Jagd auf weitere Zielobjekte benutzen. Die NATO rät das Seegebiet um die Position20 29N 059 03E weiträumig zu meiden.
Die Originalmeldung der NATO:
At 1200Z 20 Jun 2012 a dhow was pirated at position 20 29N 059 03E. It was attacked by 8 pirates aboard 1 small skiff working with a mothership. Reports also indicate that after the capture pirates may have left this dhow to hunt for other vessels. This is the second act of piracy in this area within 24 hours. Vessels are advised to keep well clear of this position and exercise extreme caution if in vicinity.
Bereits am Morgen war - wie ich bereits gemeldet habe - ein Tanker in dieser Region angegriffen worden. Er konnte entkommen.
